Geoffrey A. Wiegman

Geoff Wiegman is a nationally recognized expert in the field of executive compensation.  He consults regularly with boards of directors on strategic business and compensation issues.

Experience

•    Geoff founded Wiegman Associates LLC in 1999 to provide personalized service to a select group of clients without the pressures of a large national firm and its inherent pressures to utilize numerous inexperienced consultants to maximize revenue opportunities.  Instead, he is in a unique position to offer exceptional personalized service at reasonable costs.

•    He joined Buck Consultants in 1989 after serving for six years as founder and managing director at Strategic Personnel Services, a compensation consulting firm.  His most recent position at Buck was that of Principal and Office Manager of its Stamford Connecticut office.  Prior to that position, Geoff served for more than six years as Buck’s National Director of Compensation Consulting Services.  Throughout his career with Buck, he devoted most of his time serving Buck’s major clients.

He has also served as a Vice President with Alexander & Alexander and Senior Consultant and Unit Manager with Hewitt Associates.  Before that he was Tax Manager with Arthur Andersen & Co., and Assistant Controller and Director of Taxes for Martin Marietta Aluminum.

•    Geoff regularly consults with boards of directors and senior executives on linking executive rewards to increases in shareholder value.  This often includes detailed financial analyses of company and peer group performance.  He was one of the very first consultants to utilize comparative financial and nonfinancial performance measures for assessing company success.  In addition, Geoff has worked extensively in developing unique compensation arrangements for small groups of executives and/or in special situation businesses.

Geoff has more than 30 years experience in executive compensation, sales incentives and salary administration.  Over his career he has spoken and written extensively on the issue of tailoring compensation plans to business strategy and organizational culture.
